The Koggala Folk Museum is housed in the ancestral home of one of Sri Lanka’s most respected and prolific writers, Martin Wickremasinghe. This is quite befitting as much of the writer’s work revolved around traditional village settings and customs. A celebration of Sri Lankan folk culture, the extensive grounds of the museum hold a good collection of traditional masks, modes of transport, and everyday implements from the time of yore.
