Aberdeen Water Falls is located close to Hatton and lies on a tributary of the Kelani River which flows into the sea at Colombo. This 322-foot fall, although one the country’s tallest is a rarely visited hidden gem being slightly off traditional tourist routes. A short trek down a steep stone pathway is required to access the base of the Aberdeen waterfalls, but is well worth the effort to witness the falls cascading down the sheer granite cliff face surrounded by thick montane forest.
