Gamini is from Tangalle, deep in the south of Sri Lanka and famed for its miles of unspoilt golden beaches. Having worked and lived in Italy for over six years, Gamini returned to the country to work for the Italian embassy in Colombo where his main responsibility was taking embassy staff and visitors on excursions around the country. He later moved on to working at one of the top travel companies in the country which accounts for more than ten years of experience in the trade.
Gamini speaks excellent English and is also fluent in Italian, with the bulk of his clients being from the UK and Italy. He has indepth knowledge on the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and the historic Galle Fort, but personally prefers promoting the hidden attractions in Sri Lanka such as the red cliffs of Ussangoda, near his hometown and a 1,200 year old traveller’s resting place between the Matale and Kandy in central Sri Lanka.
