About This Activity

Lying along an elephant corridor, this 3.5-hour jeep safari in Minneriya National Park would give you an opportunity to see hundreds of elephants in the wild. A relatively small park, with its focal point being the ancient Minneriya Tank. During the months of May to September, it is not uncommon to witness up to three hundred elephants in loose family groups around the Minneriya tank. Additionally, large flocks of spotted-billed pelicans, painted storks and cormorants can be spotted feeding in the waters of the tank.
