Mount Pedro or Pidurutalagala as it is known locally, is Sri Lanka’s tallest peak rising to a height of 8,281ft and overlooking the town of Nuwara Eliya. Unfortunately, the peak is designated a high-security zone and is off-limits to visitors, but on clear days can easily be seen from the Nuwara Eliya town center.
