Fifteen minutes from the city of Galle, Unawatuna Beach is a horseshoe shaped bay that features one of Sri Lanka’s finest beaches. Protected by a reef, turquoise waters lap at the golden, palm fringed shoreline creating a picture perfect beach setting. Beachfront real estate is at a premium here and the shoreline is an almost continuos sprawl of places to stay, restaurants and bars, which gives it a busy but vibrant atmosphere. During the season, regular beach parties extend late into the night livening up the strip.
