This Privacy Policy applies to all Travellers and Partners (collectively referred to as “Users”). In addition, this Privacy Policy applies to all services, including tailor-made tours, group tours, activity bookings, hotel booking, villa rentals, car & driver rentals, and transfers provided by our website address https://tlc.lk. You can be assured that we will be using your personal information only to support your continuing relationship with us. TLC does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And users can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
When you make a reservation, you’ll be asked for your name, address, telephone number, email address, payment details, the names of guest travelling with you and your preferences for your stay. To make it easier to manage your reservations, you can open a user account. This allows you to save your personal settings, review previous bookings and manage future reservations.
We use your personal data to complete and administer your holiday reservations – which are essential for us to provide our concierge service for you. This includes sending you communications that relate to your Holiday Reservation, such as confirmations (including, where applicable, providing you with proof of purchase and/or payment), modifications, and reminders. In some cases, this may also include processing your personal data to enable online check-in with our Partners or processing personal data in relation to possible damage deposits.
We offer a user account facility on our website. We use the information you give us to administer this, allowing you to manage your bookings, take advantage of special offers, make future reservations more easily and manage your personal settings. Managing personal settings allows you to keep and share lists, share photos, see properties that you’ve searched for before, and see other information you’ve provided about accommodations and destinations. It also allows you to see any reviews you submitted about places you stayed in. If you want, you can share certain information in your user account by creating a public profile that’s associated with either your own first name or a screen name of your choice. The type of information you can share on this platform includes your photo, the names of places you’ve stayed in, your lists, your plans for future trips, your reviews and other information about services and destinations.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
