Rawana cave is linked to a network of caves corresponding to the legend of the Rakshasa people in the vicinity of the Rawana Falls, one of the widest waterfalls in Sri Lanka. There are varying opinions about it, but the fact that there have been signs of human habitation here since the Pleistocene of 25,000 years ago means that they were not indeed created under the order of Rawana.
