Colombo

Negombo

A bustling fishing town, Negombo is the closest city of consequence to Sri Lanka’s main international airport, and is usually either the first stop of choice to commence your travels in Sri Lanka or the last in winding down your holiday.

Kitulgala

Sri Lanka’s second longest river, the Kelani, forms a natural choke point before widening out again, making it the most popular location for whitewater rafting in the country.

Kandy

The mountain city of Kandy contains echoes of both the colonial and the older Sinhalese royal past in its buildings and landmarks, and is the second largest city in the country.

Galle

Galle is the administrative capital of the south of Sri Lanka, and the largest city in its eponymous district. For centuries Galle was an important port of call for trade across the Indian Ocean.

Sigiriya

The Sigiriya Rock Fortress is the rock star in Sigiriya. Located two kilometers to its north, is its lessor known sister, Pidurangala Rock.
