Devon Falls is a spectacular 318ft fall lying off the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya road, just outside Talawakele. It is the country’s 19th tallest and lies on the Kotmale Oya, which is a tributary of the Mahaweli, Sri Lanka’s longest river. The falls have three drops, each progressively broader, and is best seen on the drive to Nuwara Eliya from a convenient viewing point constructed for the purpose.
