Lake Gregory is one of many beautiful places in Nuwara Eliya and among the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka as a whole. It is not a natural feature, instead being the creation of Governor Sir William S. Gregory in 1873. One plus point is the presence of Pidurutalagala, which looms ahead in the background. The typical recreational activities here include pony rides, bicycle rides, boat tours, and walking path tours.
