In this South Coast beach escape in Sri Lanka, you discover some of the Island’s famous coastal beach cities with a perfect combination of excursions and beach time. En route to your hotel on the beach, you will visit a turtle hatchery, a mask museum, and Lunuganga, the home of architect Geoffrey Bawa. You will explore the Galle Fort with a resident and visit a virgin white tea factory in Galle. You have the option of cycling in the countryside of Galle or based on seasonality heading out on a whale-watching expedition off the Southern coast of Sri Lanka.

The cost per person for this holiday is based on a minimum booking of two persons. A solo traveler can reserve this holiday by paying a supplementary fee.

Cycling in Galle Countryside: Paddy & Lake Trail (Distance 26km, Duration 2.5 hours)_ The trail starts and finishes in Unawatuna. It passes through Eluvila Bird Sanctuary and into paddy fields by sticking on village roads and quiet lanes. The trail includes a beautiful section alongside the shoreline of Koggala Lake and its cinnamon plantations.
Whale watching: The whale watching boats usually leave the Mirissa harbour between 6.30 & 6.45 am and depending on the sightings on the day, you can expect to return by around 11;30 am. The south coast whale watching season is from November to April.
Your chauffeur will meet you at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo and drive you to Lunuganga in time for the Garden tour. Visit a mask museum and a turtle hatchery before heading to your hotel located by the beach.
Spend the morning and afternoon enjoying the beach. In the evening, head to explore the Galle Fort with a resident.
Morning at leisure on the beach or head out for an optional excursion of your choice. You can expect to be back at your hotel or apartment in Colombo or Negombo by evening on day 3.
