A guided visit to an operational tea factory will also see you mapping the journey of a tea leaf from garden to cup.
While In Nuwara Eliya, you can opt for an early morning hike at Horton Plains National Park to truly enjoy the region’s rich biodiversity and spectacular views.
Choosing to travel to Kandy by train, takes you through the heart of Sri Lanka’s majestic and scenic mountain ranges. Discover Kandy and its rich royal heritage through guided tours of the Temple of the Tooth, Kandy National Museum, and Royal Botanical Garden.

The cost per person for this holiday is based on a minimum booking of two persons. A solo traveler can reserve this holiday by paying a supplementary fee.

An Early Morning Hike at Horton Plains National Park: This is highly recommended for those interested in scenic nature walks. The total distance of the trail is around 10kms. On the trail you will see Baker’s falls, and edge towards Little World’s End and Great World’s End Drop.
Scenic Train Ride on the Upcountry Line: The train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy station is around 3.5hours. The upcountry railway line was built to transport tea from the estates to the Colombo auction house. The railway tracks takes you through scenic tea estates, vegetable fields, villages and tunnels.
Elephant Freedom Project: Spend an afternoon at Elephant Freedom Project, a shelter for captive elephants. In an animal friendly activity, the elephants take you on a 2-hour walk and when they bathe in the river, you can give them a scrub down as well.
Your chauffeur will meet you at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo and drive you to Nuwara Eliya. En route you will see St.Clair, Devon falls, visit tea plantations and a factory. The next day, head out for an early morning easy trek at Horton Plains National Park. In the afternoon, you have the option to take a scenic train ride to Kandy.
In the morning visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, the workshop of a traditional craftsman and the Kandy National Museum. You can expect to be back at your hotel in Colombo or Negombo by evening on day 3
