Itinerary

First night: Arrival at BIA and transfer to Estate Bungalow

Your chauffeur guide will meet you at the airport arrivals hall. Thereafter drive to your bungalow located in a coconut estate to spend your first day at leisure, and acclimatize to the local weather.

Day 1: Day of local experiences

A day to immerse yourself into life in a typical village. You will go in a bullock cart, cycle around the village, walk with a butler to a local coir industry, learn the art of peeling cashew nuts, visit local temples, and do some birdwatching. A traditional cooking experience awaits which includes a visit to the local "pola" (farmers market).

Day 2: Travel to Kandy

In the morning drive to Kandy, the last Kingdom of Sri Lanka. En route visit a spice garden in Mawanella to learn about the Islands spice trade. In Kandy explore the the Royal Botanic Gardens in a golf cart and visit a heritage restaurant with great reviews. In the night dine on fusion of East and West cuisines.

Day 3: Travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After an early morning walk in the countryside, head to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit a tea factory to learn about the production process of Ceylon Tea. In Nuwara Eliya, enjoy high tea at the palatial residence of a former governor of Sri Lanka.

Day 4: Travel by train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Early morning head to Horton Plains National Park for a hike to Worlds End viewpoint. Thereafter take the upcountry train, on one of the most scenic routes, to Ella.

Day 5: Glamping in Yala

Enjoy the sunrise over Ella gap and breakfast alfresco. Thereafter take a short trek to mini Adams peak and be rewarded with breathtaking views of an endless valley, tea plantations and waterfalls. Thereafter head to Yala National Park for a glamping experience. Dine under the stars for an unforgettable evening meal in the jungle.

Day 6: Travel from Yala to Koggala

After an early morning game drive head to Koggala along the coastal route. You can expect to visit the second largest blow hole in the world and the southern most point of the Island. In Koggala, check into your luxury villa located at one of the most picturesque part of Sri Lanka's south coast.

Day 7: In Koggala

After breakfast cycle from your villa along lakes, paddy fields, a bird sanctuaries and villages to Unawatuna beach. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the heritage spa at the villa, where ancient oils are used to create a sense of wellness. In the night enjoy a cooking experience and dinner with the chef of the villa.

Day 8: Travel to BIA Departure Terminal

In the morning, based on seasonality, you have the option of heading for a whale and dolphin watching excursion. In the afternoon visit an artisanal tea producing estate, before heading to Galle Fort to explore the city. After dinner travel to BIA departure terminal.
